In today’s world, things should be getting easier. With seemingly constant advances in technology, consumer experiences, and everyday conveniences, our world continues to adapt at an astonishing pace.
Enter Ford into the equation. With so much change in our lives, shouldn’t the process of buying or leasing a car be improving, too? With the introduction of Ready.Shop.Go, the time for a customer-controlled, enhanced experience has arrived. Oh, and those dealership wait times are diminishing, too.
Gone are the days of spending what certainly feels like a lifetime at the showroom – negotiating, applying, discussing – it’s all rather uncomfortable. By the end of 2018, however, Ford’s new time-saving, consumer-friendly digital service will be available across the United States. Ready.Shop.Go is set to revolutionize the vehicle-buying experience as we know it, allowing for much of the process to be done before you ever step into your local dealership.
“Our customers are busy people, whether with daily work demands or spending time with their families. Quality time is scarce and downtime is even more so,” said Mark LaNeve, vice president, Ford U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service in a press release. “Ready.Shop.Go allows them to find the perfect vehicle online, spend significantly less time at the dealership and drive away with their new ride sooner.”
Here is a snapshot of some items included in the new Ready.Shop.Go service:
Inventory and price searching: Dealers participating in Ready.Shop.Go are able to post available vehicles, set pricing and specials, including taxes and fees, giving customers more up-to-date information than ever before. A personalized, quoted deal will be honored for 48 hours (subject to vehicle availability). A pricing comparison tool will also allow for the review of actual prices with the Kelley Blue Book price advisor, in addition to trade- in values. If you’re not ready to take the next step, you can always save a deal and return to it later.
Finance and lease options: One of the more time-consuming parts of the car buying/leasing process is waiting on those financing options. With Ready.Shop.Go, browse what is available to you from the comfort of your own home (or wherever you might be shopping from). You can also apply for Ford Credit online, saving even more time sitting in the showroom filling out forms.
One contact: At the beginning of the process, users will be assigned one point of contact from their chosen dealer to ensure that the experience (both online and in person) is going smoothly for the customer, preventing confusion and centralizing all communication.
As the Ready.Shop.Go platform continues to develop, Ford expects to add even more accessibility within, including the ability to remotely review and digitally execute contracts. The car-buying future is here, and once again, its Ford is leading the way.
