While we here at Elk Grove Ford love the power and style of the current Ford Mustang, we also know that there's a certain unmistakable classic flare about one of its siblings from yesteryear. We have a strong feeling that there are more than a few drivers in the greater Elk Grove area and beyond who feel the same way too, as Ford recently made the lives of DIY vehicle restoration enthusiasts a bit easier.
What exactly are we talking about? To be exact, Ford recently green lighted the production of class Mustang body shells to be produced by a third party company, Dynacorn. The company will produce body shells for the 1965, 1967 and 1969 model year vehicles, and they're set to use stronger materials and an all-around sturdier build quality too.
That's right, now you can restore a classic Ford model and still have all of the benefits of the company's latest engineering. In fact Ford is even claiming that the body shells will goes as far as to exceed the fit, finish, and quality of the original vehicle. In other words, those of you out there who already own a class Mustang may want even consider upgrading! We're kidding... We know that in the end, nothing's more important than keeping every original piece on the vehicle. These are merely for models that need to be fixed up
Right now, the body shells are set to sell for about $15,995, and they can be bought from the Ford Restoration Parts catalog.
