What Happens When Lego and Ford Collide?

As it turns out, it looks an awful lot like the Ford Explorer, which is available for a test drive right now at Elk Grove Ford. More specifically, a team of roughly 22 designers have collaborated with both Ford and Lego to construct this massive, life-size replica of the famous SUV. Whoever said that building with Legos no longer requires any imagination obviously never laid eyes on this 380,000 brick masterpiece.
Like all masterpieces, the Lego Explorer is heading to be displayed proudly where a crowd can admire it. More specifically, it's currently bound for LegoLand in Florida. Overall, the Lego Explorer took nearly 2500 hours (or 3.5 months) to construct, so it's no wonder why both Ford and Lego are eager to have it on display!
"We're less than a month from opening and the anticipation level is incredibly high. This is the only park of its kind in the world built exclusively for kids ages 2 to 12, and it will be a total departure from anything families with young children have seen before. It's a completely immersive experience, engaging kids' imaginations and their sense of adventure through interactive play."1
We think the Lego Explorer is quite a work of art. Of course, it's non-functioning, so we can't blame drivers from Elk Grove to Sacramento who'd rather simply take the real Ford Explorer for a test drive at 9645 Auto Center Drive Elk Grove, CA 9575 instead of admiring the craftsmanship of the Lego variant. Test drives can be arranged on the Explorer or any other new Ford, simply by dialing (888) 450-8331 or by submitting a contact form online.
Of course, if you'd rather do a little research about your next new or used Ford ahead of time, then be sure to have a look at the online inventory and showroom sections of this website. Once there, you'll be able to view info on specific models, such as the Ford Edge, Ford Taurus, or any one of the incredible used cars from top automakers that we carry.
But if more Ford news is really what you're after, then make sure to stay tuned. At Elk Grove Ford, we're dedicated to keeping you informed!
