Ford Motor Co. Boosts Production

Due to growing demand, Ford Motor Co. is planning to grow production for deliveries to its U.S. dealers by 13 percent in the first quarter of 2011. To sustain that leap, it may have to add third shifts to some of its plants. Ford used a similar tactic last year, adding overtime shifts at select plants to sustain a 20 percent production increase.
